Color Inc. is, at its core, a family story.

It began in 1990 when Tim and Dee Kasberger met at a house party. Three years later, they were married—and by 1997, they had their first child and a brand-new photography business. Tim was photographing families, babies, seniors, and weddings, driven by a simple belief: moments matter, and they deserve to be printed beautifully.

As their family grew (four kids in eight years), so did the business. In 2001, Tim made the leap from film to digital—buying a printing machine, learning how to transmit image files over the then-new World Wide Web, and printing his own work in the back of the studio.

By 2004, Tim and Dee purchased a dedicated building just around the corner from the studio and officially launched Color Inc., printing and shipping professional photography products to customers around the globe.

Creativity has always been a shared language in the Kasberger household. In 2008, Dee began selling her artwork online, launching RedLetterWords. In 2010, Tim built custom software that gave photographers free image storage and a simple way to shoot, share, print, and sell their work—what would become UnitPrints.com.

From 2010 through 2019, Color Inc. continued to expand its product offerings, investing heavily in equipment, technology, and workflow to better serve professional photographers. In 2018, that investment grew to include new presses and software focused on holiday cards, save-the-dates, graduation announcements, baby announcements, and custom wedding designs.

In early 2019, Tim turned to Dee and said, “We need cards made for these new machines… how about you design some?”

Today, Color Inc. remains proudly family-owned and photographer-focused—built on decades of hands-on experience, innovation, and a deep respect for the images our clients trust us with.
